anniversary on February 12. They were married in Clovis on
February 12, 1950. They are the parents of Randy and Gary Bonds, of
Lubbock, TX, Elaine Bonds of Artesia, and the late Betty Bonds

Charles and Laura Brunt of Albuquerque, NM, and formerly of Carlsbad,
will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was
married May 1, 1950, in Carlsbad. Laura moved to Carlsbad in 1933
with her family. She was the oldest child of John and Laura Pulice.
She attended St. Edward's Catholic School and graduated from Carlsbad
High School in 1950. Charlie was born in Carlsbad in 1932. He is

DAVIS
Bill and Genie Davis recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married at the home of Genie's parents, Al and Naomi Malone,
on January 27, 1950. Bill was born to J.B. and Hilda Davis in
Florence (Loving, NM), and raised in Carlsbad. Genie was born in
Tucumcari, NM. She and her family, Al, Naomi, and sister Peg Malone
Cooper, moved from Albuquerque, NM to Carlsbad in 1945. Except for the
years 1957-1961, when they lived in Hobbs, NM, Bill and Genie have lived
in Carlsbad. To celebrate their anniversary, the couple is going on
a cruise down the Mexican Riviera in February. They have one daughter,
Linnie Davis Currier and one granddaughter. (Now and then photo shown)

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Giddens of Carlsbad will be celebrating their

Inn. They were married March 4, 1950, in Paris, TX. They came to
Carlsbad from Lubbock, TX in 1963. They are members of Parks Memorial
Church of God in Christ. The couple has 10 children; 15 grandchildren;

Roy and Elva Hall of Carlsbad celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary
with a family reception at their home on March 23. The couple's
children hosted the event. Roy and Elva met in High School in 1936 in
Oak Creek, CO. They were married March 23, 1940, at the parsonage
in Oak Creek. The couple moved to Carlsbade in April 1940 from
Oak Creek. The couple has three children; Roy N. Hall and Donna L. Wolfe
of Carlsbad and Dale R. Hall of Houston, TX. They also have two

Auguary and Helen Mitchell of Carlsbad recently celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary. They were married March 2, 1040, at the
Wichita Falls Church of God. Aubuary was an evangelist for the
Church of God in Tennessee. He met Helen in October 1939 at a youth
rally at the Northside Church of God in Wichita Falls. They were
married on his parent's anniversary. They are now members of
Hillcrest Church of God. They have four children, Jessi Ray Mitchell
of Abilene, TX, and Aubuary Paul Mitchell, Kathy Mitchell Allison
and Judy Diane Vandenberg of Carlsbad; nine grandchildren; and

Joe and Jean Morgan of Carlsbad celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
this year. They were married by Probate Judge Sadler in the Eddy
County Courthouse on August 17, 1949. They moved to Green River, WY,
in 1962. The couple has two sons, Own Morgan of Green River and
Walter James Morgan of Cheyenne, WY; four grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren. They had one daughter, Norma Jean, who died

Jack and Lorena Pope recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
The couple met in Carlsbad and were married December 23, 1939, in
Roswell, NM. Jack was born in Carlsbad. The couple attends
Hillcrest Methodist Church. They have two children, Danny B. Pope
of Russellville, Ark., and Jackie Cunningham of Gallup, NM; five
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In honor of their
parents' 60 year commitment, their children have given them a bench
memorial on the riverwalk along the beach in Carlsbad. (Photo shown)

Orville D. and Marie Scott of Artesia have celebrated their golden
wedding anniversary. The couple married in the Bronx, NY, on
February 12, 1950. The moved from the Bronx to Artesia in the same
year. They have four children; Deborah Craft of Artesia; Karen
Hightower of Colorado City, Texas; Ky Scott and Danny Scott, both
of Artesia. Their six grandchildren are Jud Hightower of
Amarillo, TX; Johnny Craft of Artesia; Lanci Craft of Lubbock, TX;
Christopher Scott, Anessa Scott and David Scott, all of Artesia.
They also have four great-grandchildren; Kyla Taylor, Trey Craft
and Jakob Craft, all of Artesia, and Lexy Hightower of Amarillo.

of Latter Day Saints. They have six children: Wayne Walterscheid of

Darla Harrington of Carlsbad and Rita Walterscheid and Cindy Rollins
of Lubbock, TX; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
